ST CREWENNA, CROWAN: The bells called the congregation on Sunday, where the 11am service was led by Wendy Smith. The music was played by Gerald and the readers were Gill and Shelia. Prayers of intersession were read by Peter and the lovely flowers were arranged by Joan. The meditation at six service was led by Wendy and the service was held by candle light. The Rev Dominic Whitting was installed at a service at the church on Monday, followed by refreshments at Troon village hall.

On Sunday as well as the 11am service a service for Pentecost will be held at Leedstown village hall at 3pm - everyone is welcome.

The Smartie tubes that were taken home to be filled with coins over Lent, raised a wonderful sum of £205.34 for the church and the congregation is asked to please don't forget to save two pence coins for the annual two p’s around the church at the bell ringers barbecue on Tuesday, July 15 from 6pm.

There was a stall on the Plan at Praze on Friday and thanks to all who came and supported it by buying the offerings including jams and chutneys, the sum of £97.92 was raised for church funds.

The church needs support for the money raising events to help pay its costs. If you would like to help further making even a small monthly donation of only £1 a week by standing order this would help tremendously. Standing order forms are available at the back of the church. It easy to do and would be a great help in keeping Crowan Church open and available to all.
