Members met on June 12 at 7pm. First a report was given of the Annual Meeting where organ donation was important, and won the vote by a large majority. There were some very good speakers who were very interesting. Next year's meeting will be televised.
Next Yvonne read the minutes which were signed.
Future Events: June 23, a trip along the River Fal; June 21, members are invited to join the over 60s on a coach trip leaving Nancegollan at 1pm; June 23, Porthleven Quiz; Tuesday, July 15, a trip on an open topped bus.
Jenny Ripley gave a talk about her work in textiles from the time she started until the present and showed pieces in progress. There was a great deal to look at and we all enjoyed it.
A vote of thanks was given by Jean; Wendy and Margaret T served tea and biscuits. Competition winners: 1, Elisabeth; 2, Sue; 3, Crete.
Next month's meeting is on July 10 and is Flower Arranging by Pauline Reed. The competition is a posy of fresh flowers.
