On Sunday the congregation of St Crewenna welcomed the Rev Leslie Attwood who led the service.

The music was played by Chad and the readers were Sheila and Gill. Prayers of Intersession were read by Nick and Eric took up the offering. The lovely church flowers were arranged by Merila and Amanda.

The Rev Dom Whitting, writing on the pew sheet, asked for some brief thoughts to be considered: "This morning I am preaching at Troon Chapel, hence why I am unable to be with you. However, it gives us an opportunity to remember and to pray for our brothers and sisters in other Christian denominations. The Bible tells us that we are one body in Christian denominations. The Bible tells us that we are one body in Christ and we should always be seeking to work together in making Christ known within our community."

Thank you to everyone who supported the annual fete on Friday evening, unfortunately because of bad weather it had to be moved into Praze Institute but was nevertheless a big success with £474 raised for church funds. David Roberts introduced and thanked the Rev Dom, who opened the fete and they were both presented with buttonholes by Jessica Fish and Marcus Roberts.

The cream tea and fete held in aid of Cornwall Hospice care was also very well supported with the wonderful amount of £1200 raised for this great local cause.

On Saturday, August 16 at the home of Shelia and David Goldsworthy, Truthwall Farm, Leedstown. There will be a coffee morning held between 10am and noon. There will be a raffle and bring-and-buy stall to support. Everyone is very welcome and money raised is in aid of Crowan Parish Church.
