CROWAN PARISH CHURCH: The morning service was held at 11am on Sunday when the church bells called the congregation to worship. The service was led by Wendy and Chad played the music. Readers were Averil and Jane C and prayers of intercessions were read by Gill. The lovely flowers were arranged by Tess this week and Eric took the morning’s offering. At the end of the service, the congregation sang Happy Birthday and with their best wishes presented a card signed by everyone to the Rev Dom.

The meditation at six service was led by Paul. Evening prayer is held this week on Wednesday and Thursday, beginning at 5pm.

This coming week will see our schools return from their summer break, please pray for all pupils, parents, teachers and staff, for those starting school for the first time and for those beginning in a new school, especially those starting at secondary school. May they all have an enjoyable and successful term.

Harvest Festival will begin on Friday, September 19 at 7pm with a special harvest evening service. On Sunday, September 21 at 11am the harvest festival eucharist will be held and at 7.30pm there will be songs of praise celebrating harvest festival.

WINDOWS INTO THE OLD TESTAMENT: Is the Old Testament relevant? How can we understand it? What does it all mean? Come and explore these questions and many more in an informal introduction to the Old Testament. This will be a six-week course which will look at what the Old Testament has to teach today. The group will meet on Tuesdays 2pm till 4pm, starting September 23. It will be repeated on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm-9.30pm beginning September 24. All the sessions include a refreshment break and will take place at The Vicarage, 37 Trethannas Gardens, Praze-an-Beeble. Everyone is welcome. For more information please speak to the Rev Dom.

NANCEGOLLAN VILLAGE HALL: On Monday, September 22 the hall will be holding their AGM at 7.30pm. Please make a date in your diary to come along and support your village. The committee needs new faces and new ideas and welcomes everyone to come along with their ideas.

SITHNEY COMMUNITY GROUP: The autumn AGM and quarterly get-together will be held on Saturday, September 13 between 2pm-4pm in Nancegollan Village Hall with afternoon tea. Come and see what has been happening within the community group over the last year - everyone welcome.
