On Friday, St Sithney’s Day, the morning prayer and the holy eucharist was held in the chapel for the first time.
Afterwards lunch was held at Trelean, the home of Peggy Mildren, and £87 was raised for church funds.
The first three raffle winners were Ruth Williams, Ron Mildren and Peggy Mildren. The Half-an-Half were Rona Champion, Isobel Martin and Rod Macgregor.
On Sunday there was solemn patronal eucharist for both parishes celebrated by Father Peter, lessons were read by Elizabeth Schofield and Ron Mildren, Trefor Bowen played the organ.
In the evening there was solemn evensong and Benediction celebrated by Fr Peter, lessons were read by Esther Brown and Ron Mildren, Esther also played the organ.
On Sunday there will be sung eucharist at 11.15am.
