Trina Beckett, local worship leader, led the service of the word in the morning. Lessons were read by Bette Owen and Eve Cox; Carol Macleod delivered the intercessions; the organ was played by Gwynneth Willett and Geoff Helmore and Dennis Osbourn were sidesmen.
Trina again led the evening service of wholeness and healing. Items are being collected for the Link to Hope, family shoebox appeal, and in addition this year the elderly will have their own shoeboxes. There are lists in church for items you can put in the boxes. You do not have to fill a complete box yourself, just bring a few items to the collection point in church by October 26 and everything will be sorted and packed.
On Saturday friends and relations of Tim and Jenna gathered for her baptism and that of their son Tino. However, what was not known by any of the congregation was that they were also to witness the wedding of Tim and Jenna, which came between the two baptisms. It was a truly joyous occasion.
