METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday was conducted by Bryan Teague from Helston. He based his sermon on the parable of the rich man’s feast. Mavis Harper was the organist.

CREAM TEA AND TABLE TOP SALE: This is a charity fundraiser on behalf of the Miscarriage Association, which takes place at Carleen Village Hall on Saturday, November 22 from 2-5pm. Tables are available for £7.50. Contact Paula on 01735 761166 or 07743360563 for any queries.

HARVEST HOME: A wonderful £1,200 was raised at the Harvest Home last Saturday. So it’s thanks all round, first to the Godolphin Arms for the venue, to all those who donated and of course who bought, and finally to the auctioneer Ken Woolcott. The proceeds will be divided between Godolphin Christmas Lights and St Julia’s Hospice.
