CROWNAN PARISH CHURCH: The beautiful bells at Crowan were featured on Radio Cornwall's early show this week. They were rung on Sunday to call the congregation to worship. The Rev Dom led the service and the music was played by Christine. Readers were Averill and Jane, prayers of intersession were read by Gill, the cross bearer was Geoff, Eric took the offering and Sharon and Gill took the sacrament to the altar.

Sally Piper, church warden from Treslothan Parish Church, took part in the service with a talk to the congregation.

The silence at six service was taken by Wendy.

There will be an All Souls service at 6pm on Sunday, November 2. If you would like to remember a loved one please come and join the congregation in remembering those we have lost. If you are unable to be there but would like a candle lit in their memory, please contact the Rev Dom on 01209 831810 or Amanda on 01209 832210. The Christmas Bazaar will be held on November 29 at the Institute Praze and any items to be donated for sale will be appreciated and can be left in a box at the back of the church. The next collection of knitting for the Fish and Chip babies will be taken to Camborne Wesley Church, on Wednesday, November 5.

NANCEGOLLAN VILLAGE HALL: There will be a fun quiz night on Monday, October 27. The evening begins at 8pm and costs £1 per person, with teams usually made up of four. There will be a raffle and tea and coffee available. On Friday, October 31 is a Bingo extra evening beginning at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome to come along to these events

TOWNSHEND VILLAGE HALL: On Saturday at 7pm "The Salt Roads" presented by Carn to Cove will be held. It will be an evening of Cornish stories, music and fun. The tickets will include a pasty and scones, jam and cream. The price for adults is £8 and children's tickets are £6. Tickets are available from Les Hudson on 01736 850740, everyone welcome.
