CROWAN PARISH CHURCH: The service on Sunday was taken by the Rev Dom helped by Wendy. The music this morning was played by Colin; readers were Gill and Sheila; prayers of intersession were read by Peter and the lovely flowers were arranged by Amanda. Howard and Sharon took up the Sacrament.

The silence at six service was led by Paul.

Over last weekend Crowan’s bells were heard more than usual, as on Saturday St Crewenna's bells were rung by a team from the Rev Dom's previous church in Wadebridge. A team of bell ringers, on holiday from St Peter's church in Birmingham, also rang the church bells on Sunday.

As well as the morning service at 11.15am, there will be an All Souls’ service at 6pm on Sunday. If you would like to remember a loved one please come and join the congregation in remembering those we have lost. If you are unable to be there, but would like a candle lit in their memory, please contact the Rev Dom on 01209 831810 or Amanda on 01209 832210. On Wednesday, November 5, the next collection of knitting for the Fish and Chip babies charity will be taken and handed in to Camborne Wesley Church. Thanks are sent to those who have taken part in this venture. On Sunday, November 9 there will be the Remembrance service at the War Memorial on the Plan, followed by the service at Leedstown Methodist Chapel. Please note that there will be no worship this Sunday as the congregation join in the service at Leedstown.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held on November 29 at the Institute in Praze and any items to be donated for sale will be appreciated and can be left in a box at the back of the church or ring Sheila on 01209 831247.

PRAZE AN BEEBLE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: The Praze Christmas Lights 2014 Harvest Auction at the St Aubyn Arms on October 17 raised £440. The committee thanks all those who made donations, purchases and helped out on the evening. The hard work now continues in preparation for the Saturday, December 6 lights switch-on.

ST AUBYN SINGERS: The singers recent appearances have included a golden wedding celebration, a Cornish evening and last Saturday for the Macmillan coffee morning in Praze.

The singers are in the St Aubyn Arms on Thursdays from 9pm. The group sing for fun and all proceeds go to local charities. If you are interested in booking the singers, please contact John on 01209 831879.

CROWAN’S GOT TALENT: As last year’s event was such a success this will be held again this year on Saturday, November 22 at 7pm. Time to dust off the magic tricks and practice your singing scales. NANCEGOLLAN VILLAGE HALL: The Florence Quilters meet every Friday between 10am and 3pm. For enquires contact Margaret Gash Also there are Carpet Bowls held every Tuesday at 7pm.
