METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday was conducted by the Rev Philip Williams from Newlyn. His sermon reflected on the commandment – Love your God with all your heart, soul and mind and in particular Love your neighbour as yourself. The service concluded with holy communion. Mavis Harper was the organist.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: On reaching the end of half-term, head teacher Lucy Wandless reflected onhow busy it had been with many exciting learning opportunities taking place. The Emerald class have visited the Methodist Church and have had a member of the National Trust working with them in school. The Diamond class have been on a trip to a juice bar in Truro and then set up their own in school. The Sapphire pupils have been using drama to explore the characters and themes related to a mission into space and the Zircons helped host the Macmillan coffee morning, which was a great success. After school clubs have been well attended and she extends thanks to staff and parent volunteers for giving up their time to run them.

She hopes everyone has a relaxing half-term and now looks forward to working together when the school restarts on Monday, November 3.
