CROWAN CHURCH: There was no service on Sunday. The congregation joined with Leedstown Methodist Church for Remembrance Sunday. The usual Sunday morning service takes place at 11.15am this coming week. Everyone is welcome to come along for tea or coffee in the parish rooms before the service, from 10.15 am. There will be a Christmas coffee morning on Saturday at Crowan parish rooms between 10am-noon. Make a start on your Christmas preparations as there will be jams, chutneys, honey, mincemeat, cakes and a raffle, along with tea/coffee and biscuits.

On Tuesday November 18, a flower demonstration by Barbara and Marie will be held in the parish rooms at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome and admission is £3.

Wednesday, November 19 at 7pm, the Craft and Chatter group meet in parish rooms to begin knitting again for the Fish and Chip Babies. A charity that provides clothes and blankets for newborns in parts of Africa who would otherwise be wrapped in newspaper due to their parents poverty.

Items for the church Christmas bazaar are now being collected. There is a list of stalls and a box at the back of church for donations. The competition this year will be to make an angel from a washing up liquid bottle and this will be for adults and children.

NANCEGOLLAN VILLAGE HALL: A Bingo evening will be held on Friday at 7.30pm. There will be refreshments and a raffle to enjoy and everyone is welcome. On Saturday between 10.30am and 1pm, there will be a Christmas car boot sale - the cost will be £3.00 per table and refreshments will be available. PARKINSON'S SINGING FOR FUN: On the fourth Wednesday of each month (except December) there will be a free voice work and singing session to help improve and maintain vocal health for speaking and singing for pleasure. This month the session is on Wednesday, November 26. This will be held between 10.30am and 12.30pm in Townshend Village Hall, and includes refreshments.
