METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday, together with holy communion, was conducted by the Rev Beverly Turner. She said that God invites us up to His feast and gives us a foretaste of the heavenly feast in communion, and have we accepted His invitation? Mavis Harper was organist.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: The school, HMS Heroes, represented the school in Helston at the Remembrance service. Poppies were sold in school and the children took part in a two-minute silence. There was also an open afternoon when all the parents and community were invited to visit and experience this successful, happy and thriving school. The Friends of Godolphin (PTA) provided the tea and coffee and the governors were on hand to show people around.

The children dressed as super heroes to raise money for Children in Need and thanks are extended to all who took part.

The Christmas show this year will be “Prickly Hay” and will be performed by the infant children in Godolphin Methodist Chapel on Wednesday, December 17 at 2pm and 6pm.

100 Club – This is a good fund raiser for the school at £1 per month (no draw in August), so it is £11 per year. Please see Pam Forrester at school if you wish to join.

CARLEEN VILLAGE HALL: There will be a cream tea and table top sale in aid of the Miscarriage Association on Saturday from 2pm to 5pm.
