Members met on November 13 when Crete opened the meeting and Yvonne read the minutes. Everyone enjoyed the trip to Penlee Gallery; Marion and Yvonne are going to Germoe’s WI Christmas Party.

Our Christmas Party is being arranged for December 11 when no friends are to be invited and food will be provided by members. Teas were organised for the disabled with helpers to serve it. The outing for the January meeting will be to the Maritime Museum.

Crete welcomed Nigel Pascoe who gave a very interesting talk on his career. He told how he helped out in his father's butcher's shop and then went to Wisley, where the gardens were kept immaculate, to train as a gardener where he worked from 7am to 4pm with his parents backing him in his chosen career. He worked at various places including Flambards and Camborne College and now does a programme on Radio Cornwall, keeping himself busy. Tea was served by Adrienne and Jean and competition winners were: 1, Elizabeth; 2, Sue and Elizabeth won the raffle.

The next meeting will be on December 11 and will be the Christmas party.
