LUMC: The service on Sunday at 11am, will be taken by Hartley Wills. Junior church will also be at 11am. The evening service at 6pm will be taken by Sarah Fuller.

Don’t forget that every Tuesday from 10am until noon, Coffee Stop is held in the Sunday schoolroom. There is a warm welcome for everyone and pre-owned books to browse through.

On Thursdays at 2pm, a Yoga group meet in the Sunday schoolroom and new members are welcome there. The Christmas Bazaar is being held on Saturday at the Chapel to raise funds. Please come along to support this event and pick up some Christmas goodies.

Sunday was also the launch of the next charity project, ‘Put A Sock In It’. This is to provide socks for homeless people through St Petroc’s Society. In the service Janet V and Sue W explained something about the need for these gifts. The Chapel have a big sock, made by Janet Tripp, ready to receive gifts. Men’s socks are particularly welcome.

DUKE OF LEEDS: The Duke has been taken over by locals Emma Roach and Stuart Sharland, a young couple well known to the village. One of their first events will be the Harvest Home on Friday starting at 7.30pm. The auctioneer will be Keith Thomas (Tommo). All donations for this event will be gratefully received and please don’t forget to come and bid for the items. All money raised will be donated to local village causes.

LEEDSTOWN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: There is to be a Market and Craft Fair held at the village hall or in the Methodist Sunday schoolroom in aid of the Christmas lights, on Saturday November 17, from 10am until 1pm. The venue will be confirmed and to book a table at the cost of £5, contact Mr and Mrs Christopher on 01736 850315. Please support and keep the festive lights shining. The switch-on of Leedstown’s Christmas lights is on December 14 at 7pm.

LEEDSTOWN CP SCHOOL: The Friends of Leedstown School will be holding a Beetle Drive on Friday November 16, from 6-8pm. At the Happy Feet Pre-School “Stay and Play‟ sessions for under two’s take place in the school hall on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9 to 10am. Please feel free to come along with your youngsters. Happy Feet sessions run daily from 9am to noon Monday to Friday and from 9am to 3pm on Thursdays.
