REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: The Parish act of Remembrance will be held at the War Memorial, Praze An Beeble at 10.45am on November 11. This is followed by a United Parish Service at Leedstown Methodist Church held at 11.30am. The service will be led by the Rev Steve Wild, Chairman of the Cornwall Methodist District.

PRAZE INSTITUTE: The Bingo session which took place on October 26 was a great success. Many thanks to all those who attended on what was a particularly cold evening. Warmth was generated by the fun had by all, and the newly installed heating system.

The committee are now fully engaged in planning the next social events.

Bingo dates: Friday, November 16; Friday, December 14. Doors open at 7pm with eyes down at 7.30pm.

CRAFT FAYRE: There will be a Craft Fayre on Saturday, November 17 at the Institute. Funds raised will be used in the continuing renovations on the building. SENIOR CITIZENS TEA: The Senior citizens afternoon tea will take place at 3.30pm for 4pm on Wednesday December 5. Anyone who is 60 years and over, who lives within Praze and would like to attend, please contact the secretary on 01209 831096.

CROWAN PARISH CHURCH: The bells were rung before the morning service which was taken by Father Mike Pascoe this week. Gerald was organist and Jill and Martha read lessons. Fr Pascoe led the congregation in wishing Ruben Roberts a happy 16th birthday during service.

At 6pm the Silence Service takes place every week. There will be no 11am service at the Parish church on November 11 because of the Remembrance day service at the War memorial in Praze.

NANCEGOLLAN VILLAGE HALL: On Friday November 9, there will be a Bingo evening at 7.30pm - everyone is welcome. A Car Boot Sale is being held between 10.30am and 1pm on November 17 - pasties and refreshments will be available to keep out the cold.

The Bowls Club meet on Tuesdays at 7pm; Florence Quilters meet on a Friday between 10am and 3pm, or hours to suit you, and these sessions cost £2.50. Please call 01209 831502 for more information.

GWINEAR,CROWAN GODOLPHIN HOSPICE SUPPORT GROUP: Wednesday November 14 is the date of a Coffee Morning in aid of St Julia’s Hospice at Hayle, to be held at Nancegollan Village Hall between 10am and noon. There will be a raffle, Hospice Christmas cards and gifts, a book stall and bring-and-buy goods are amongst the goodies to buy.
