The celebrant and preacher at parish communion on Remembrance Sunday was the Rev Peter Bradford.

He was assisted by Betty Booker, lay reader. Cherith Castle read the lesson and Roger Schiff led the prayers. Mr Bradford spoke of the dreadful impact of two world wars and the many conflicts since, right to the present day. There was a pause at 11am for a two- minute silent tribute. Music for the service included hymns associated with remembrance and, as a voluntary during communion, Elgar’s Nimrod, from the Enigma Variations, was beautifully played by organist Richard Berry.
