Edna Angove, chief steward, compiled the fellowship service for a dreadfully wet Sunday morning.
The theme was following Jesus, based on the reading from St Matthew’s gospel when Christ chose His disciples. Other members of the congregation led prayers, read from the Bible and read a meditation and Tracey Andrews gave the talk for the children. Organist was Nigel Dower.
In the evening the Rev Danny Reed took a united service with Porthleven, including holy communion.
An auction sale of unwanted Christmas gifts held on Friday, January 17 raised £555 for church funds.
