Canon David Miller presided at parish communion, assisted by the Rev Dorothy Noakes and Betty Booker, lay reader.

The Rev Jane Bradbury preached on various aspects of the day’s readings, but with emphasis on Jesus’ injunction not to worry about the future, since today’s trouble is enough for today. The Rev Jane saw it not as prohibition on planning, but that to worry is to fail to put trust and hope in God, who is both creator and sustainer.

Elizabeth Goodfellow read the lesson and Andrew “Jake” Holyer led the prayers.

After communion the choir sang “Fairest Lord Jesus”, directed by Chris Bradbury and accompanied by Richard Berry, organist.
