METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday, March 23 will be held at 11am and taken by Tony Nicholas. Also at 11am, the Junior Church welcomes young people to join them in the Sunday schoolroom. At 5.40pm there will be community hymn singing followed at 6pm by a section united service led by Deacon Geoff Tamblin.

On Tuesday from 10am until noon, Coffee Stop is open in the Sunday schoolroom and welcomes anyone who would like to drop in for a drink and a chat. On Friday the Hands Together Prayer Hour will be held in the Sunday schoolroom. Everyone is very welcome.

A soup and dessert lunch is to be held on Saturday beginning at 12.15pm and held in the Sunday schoolroom at Leedstown Chapel.

NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT: The field next to Leedstown Primary School is to be developed into houses by Ocean Housing. This work will be starting at the end of May and the school will be working closely with the contractors, ensuring that road use and parking issues are kept to a minimum. Ocean Housing are running a competition for the schoolchildren to name some of the roads within the development. They are keen to have names for the streets that have links to the local area.

SCHOOL BEETLE DRIVE: The Beetle Drive run by the Friends of Leedstown school was a great success and everyone who attended enjoyed the evening and £35 was raised for school funds.

FREE COMPUTER CLASSES: There are still spaces at the computer classes to be held at Leedstown village hall. This is the latest in a series of classes held for beginners at Leedstown and are a useful and enjoyable way of exploring your computer. There are some computers available to try, please contact Gavin Bolton on 077945 82944 for more information. It is hoped the classes will begin on Tuesday, March 25.
