METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday at 11am Elsie Balme will be taking the service and junior church will meet in the Sunday schoolroom. The congregation are pleased to work with the charity “Bibles for Children” and have sponsored the presentation of Good News Bibles for the Year five pupils at Leedstown School. This continues on from the Bibles presented to Years five and six last year. It is hoped this partnership with the school will help the children understand the Christian faith more fully, and build upon their RE lessons that they demonstrated during assembly last Friday. The charity has also presented a copy of the book “Mary Jones and her Bible” to the school library, an interesting read for the children as Mary had to walk 25 miles to buy her own Bible back in 1800, out of her own pocket money.

Coffee Stop meets on Tuesdays in the Sunday schoolroom between 10am and noon and welcomes everyone to drop in for a drink and a chat.
