CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: The committee are holding the annual AGM in the back room in the village hall on Thursday, May 29 at 7.30pm. This year this is a very special meeting as the committee must have more helpers committed to help with moving and putting up the lights and displays this year. The Christmas lights cannot continue without this help for the small band who work so hard every year to put on this lovely festive display for the village. Please come along to support the committee and bring your ideas for fundraising events. For any information or to offer your support please contact Tom Christophers on 01736 850315.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: Parents have been dismayed while walking their children to school along the footpath of School Road, to find the amount of dog faeces, which has been left behind by some irresponsible dog owners walking their pets. Parents and children are encouraged to walk to school rather than use motor transport and are finding this problem is increasing with many small children treading in the mess. Not picking up after your dog is very anti-social and especially in the area around a school so please pick up and bin it!

AUTUMN SHOW: The show garden, basket and container classes will be judged in mid July. The classes are: 1, large garden; 2, medium garden; 3, small garden; 4, hanging baskets; 5, any other container. There will be a special cup awarded for the most relaxing garden - to enter please ring Tom and Joan Christophers on 01736 850 850315.
