METHODIST CHURCH: The Rev Danny Reed was welcomed on Sunday morning for the Junior Church anniversary. He took as his theme The Parable of the Shepherd, and Jesus being the gate for the sheep. The singing was enjoyed and the musicians were Ruth and Tania. Tania thanks all teachers and helpers for another year’s commitment to Youth Work, and also to the Church Council and congregation for supporting the young people in the village. On Fathers’ Day, the Junior Church will have a World Cup and sports themed morning in the schoolroom. Please wear sports gear, bring a football, flag or scarf to prepare for a presentation to the congregation “Are you a team player?” All families welcome to join in. Does anyone have a VCR video recorder or a DVD player they no longer require? The Junior Church needs to replace their old ones and would appreciate any help with this.

The 11am service on Sunday will be led by George Bodilly. The Junior Church meet at 11am in the Sunday schoolroom. At 3pm the "Churches around Tregonning" Ecumenical Celebration of Pentecost service, will be held at Tregonning Hill Preaching Pit. On Friday the Hands Together Prayer Hour will be held in the Sunday schoolroom at 1pm.

PRAZE HAYLE MALE VOICE CHOIR: The choir will present a two hour Concert Open Practice at Leedstown Methodist chapel on Tuesday, June 17 at 7.30pm. The choir will perform some of its songs but also, in a practice/ rehearsal, show how performances are created. This may be of particular interest to any men who have considered joining or re-joining a male voice choir but anyone is welcome to attend to listen. There will be no charge.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: Members enjoyed a very successful day with their link WI Lostwithiel, now appreciating their 25th year of friendship. Starting their day at Chacewater Garden Centre for coffee, we then visited the St Agnes Museum which was a fascinating and popular venue. A picnic lunch and a walk was thoroughly enjoyed in glorious sunshine at Trevaunance Cove. Exploring all the delightful little shops and the church in St Agnes was the next part of our programme before a delicious tea at St Agnes WI Hall arranged and served so tastefully by their members. A really exceptional day.
