METHODIST CHURCH: A soup and sweet lunch is being held at the Sunday schoolroom on Saturday from noon and the cost is £4. Please ring Sue Williams on 01736 850224 to book your lunch. The proceeds are for chapel funds.

The Junior Church are learning about Joshua during July. On Sunday, July 6 they were invited to meet with other youngsters at Breaney Chapel, Breage and they had an enjoyable morning there.

Ruby and Tania invite you to join in a celebration of music worship on Sunday morning with musicians and singers taking part. The theme will be learning through “Rhyme, Rhythm and Song”. Donations will be welcome for the charity Action for Children. Hands Together Prayer Hour in the Sunday schoolroom is to be held at 1pm on Friday. The flower arrangement for Sunday will be the gift of Carol Tresize.

“Messy Church” comes to Leedstown on September 28, with two hours of crafts, games, music and light refreshments. It is hoped to hold this event four times a year as outreach to the young people and a chance to get together and have fun. All ages will be welcome.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: There will be a "Barbecue and Rounders Day" on Sunday. This is to raise money for the charity "Saving Faces", the Facial Surgery Research Foundation.

Leedstown School and the wider community are fundraising for Carla Waters and the charity. Little Carla had a benign tumour removed from her face as a baby and can have surgery to reduce the scar left by the operation. The fundraising target is £3000 for the surgery. This Sunday's fund raising afternoon begins at 2.30pm in the school field and the £5 per entry cost for adults, includes rounders and a burger or sausage and a soft drink.
