METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday at 11am, the Rev David Pountain will take a holy communion service. At 6pm a Circuit United service will be held at Helston Methodist Church with holy communion taken by the Rev Daniel Reed.

At 1pm on Friday the Hands Together Prayer Hour will be meeting in the Sunday schoolroom. Please contact Ruby, Coz, Janet T, for prayer requests.

The Yoga class resumes on Thursday September 11at 2pm in the Sunday schoolroom.

Shoe boxes are now available in the windows of the chapel and there will be a coffee morning for Operation Christmas Child in the Sunday schoolroom on Saturday. September 13 from 10am until 12.30pm where you can pick up the boxes. Cakes, bric-a-brac and knitwear for the boxes will be available. If you would like to run another stall please see Jackie. Please come along and support this good cause that sends shoe boxes filled with toys and gifts to under privileged children abroad, who would otherwise get no Christmas cheer.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: The Chelsea Flower Show will be the subject of the next meeting on Tuesday, September 9 at Leedstown Chapel Sunday School at 7.30pm, entitled “How to win Gold at Chelsea”. Andrew Mills of Burncoose Nurseries will give a presentation on this subject. This very popular and famous nursery has achieved great national success and Andrew Mills is a very entertaining speaker. This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome to come along.

VILLAGE HALL: The possibility of having a Film Club is being discussed. The committee need someone who would be willing to train as the projectionist and also need people to volunteer to help, to be able to bring this to Leedstown.
