The band was in concert on Sunday at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion. Playing in brilliant sunshine with the back drop of the Tall Ships sailing across Gyllyngvase, the band under musical director Ian Edwards presented a programme of music for all tastes, which was well appreciated by the large audience present.
Featured soloists were Marika Charleston playing The Lazy Trumpeter and the Rev Harry Chant playing Cherry Pink.
The Concert Brass are part of the Helston Town Band organisation and were only formed last autumn, they practice once a week at Helston Bandroom from 7pm-8.30pm on Thursday evenings and always welcome new members and would like additional cornet players to come along.
