METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday at 11am the morning service will be led by Sid Harris, with Junior Church at 11am. Final preparations are being made for Messy Church “Shepherds and Sheep”, to take place in the Methodist schoolroom on Sunday, September 28 from 10am to noon. All ages are welcome and each child or group of children will need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be a wool spinning demonstration by Sue (from the Fabric and Wool Shop at Pratt’s Market, Hayle), plenty of glitter and glue, light refreshments, children’s worship, and a warm welcome.

The Hands Together Prayer Hour will next meet on Friday, October 10.

Thank you to everyone who supported or helped in any way with Saturday’s coffee morning to raise money for the transport of the "Operation Christmas Child" shoe boxes. Shoe boxes are now available in the chapel windows to take home and fill for under privileged children abroad.

The Lizard and Mounts Bay Methodist Circuit at its meeting on September 10 unanimously agreed to extend the Rev Beverly Turner’s term of office within the Circuit for a further three years from September 1, 2015.

The Circuit pray for God’s blessing on the Rev Beverly and her ministry.

AUTUMN SHOW: The annual show takes place on Saturday, September 20 at Leedstown Village hall. The doors open at 2.15pm and will be officially opened at 2.30pm by Mr and Mrs T Rodda of St Erth, Praze. Everyone is welcome to come along - there will be refreshments, raffle and a bric-a-brac stall to enjoy.

PRIMARY SCHOOL: After the summer break, the school welcomed the new reception children into Hedgehog class. They have been coming into school every morning, and the children have all settled in really well and joined in enthusiastically. The children have been busy working on routines and their entries for the Leedstown Village Show.

VILLAGE HALL: The Blues and Greys Country music club will meet on Saturday evening. The artist performing will be Marty Jaye. The evening starts at 8pm and you are invited to bring your own drinks and nibbles.
