The church was beautifully decorated both inside and outside for the Harvest Festival weekend. Also a great supply of food for the Foodbank was collected, and displayed at the front of the church.

The morning service was taken by David Pascoe and many of the well-known Harvest hymns sung, accompanied by Margaret Bilkey at the organ. Betty Pascoe and Tony Fairliss read the lessons. The theme for Mr Pascoe’s sermon was “thankfulness in every circumstance”.

The evening Songs of Praise service was led by the Rev Danny Reed.

On Saturday evening about 30 members of the congregation enjoyed a Harvest Supper in the Wesley Hall, and Chris played the piano during the meal, to the enjoyment of all the listeners.

On Monday the Harvest flowers were taken out to members of the congregation and friends of the church unable to come to church, and the Foodbank collection taken up to Mustard Seed for distribution.
