METHODIST CHURCH: At Leedstown chapel on Sunday at 11am, the preacher will be Mrs J Ings. Junior Church is also held in the schoolroom at 11am. At 6pm there is a section united service to be held at Goldsithney Methodist Church. The hands together prayer hour group meet at 1pm on Friday.

HARVEST HOME AUCTION: The auction will be held this year at the Duke of Leeds Pub on Friday, October 24 beginning at 7pm. Donations are very welcome and can be dropped off at the Duke of Leeds anytime. Everyone is very welcome to come along and support this event which raises money for village causes, including the Christmas lights and Leedstown School.

FRIENDS OF LEEDSTOWN SCHOOL: The Friends now have a Facebook page and would like all parents who are on Facebook to join the group.

Using the Facebook page will mean that even parents who cannot attend meetings can now have more input to the group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/friendsofleedstownschool/ The next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 21 starting at 9am. This meeting will be held as an AGM, as there will be elections for the posts of chairperson, secretary and treasurer.

The Friends welcome all new members, whatever level of time you are able to commit.

A fantastic Fun and Spooky Halloween Party will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 5.30-7pm in the school hall. The cost is £1.00 per child (to include cupcake and drink). Children are encouraged to come wearing fancy dress, and there will be prizes for the best costumes. There will also be a ‘Dance off’ and Halloween themed party games with lots of prizes. Any profit that is made will be used to benefit the children at the school.

CYSTIC FIBROSIS TABLE TOP SALE: On Sunday, October 26 at Burnt Downs Farm, Leedstown TR 27 6DT, there will be a table top sale to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. Stalls cost £5 per stall and sellers should arrive from 9am to set up and doors will open at 10am. Please bring a raffle prize and some food for the barbecue. VILLAGE HALL: The hall has the opportunity to have their own film club and need volunteers to help with the running of the club and a projectionist (training will be given).If you are able to become involved in this project please leave your details on the village hall phone, 01736 850118.

Hayden is performing at the Blues and Greys country music club on Saturday at 8pm. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles, everyone welcome.

The Stocking Filler Fayre will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 11am-4pm. Book your table for just £5 to sell your crafts and goods. The majority of what you sell must be £15 or less. We provide a 4ft table but sellers can have up to 6ft of space, so by all means bring your own table. Teas, coffee, cakes and bacon butties will also be on sale.
