Mrs Estelle Turner led a very interesting service on Sunday morning entitled “Justice”.

She explained how many charities in the world are working for justice and she had particular knowledge of Fairtrade. Along with members of the congregation she showed that for a bunch of bananas priced at 90p in the supermarket, the grower received only 3p, and with the farmer, the export and import companies all having their bit, and the supermarket getting 31p, how very unfair it is.

We should all pray that such injustice will be righted.

Tony Massey, Edna Angove and Hilary Rose read from the Bible and Neil Turner and Tamsin Archbold read an amusing, contemporary prayer of thanks for all that we have. Margaret Bilkey played the organ.

The evening Circuit United holy communion service was led by the Rev Beverly Turner.
