Sarah Fuller led the service on Sunday morning and talked about food. She gave the two children present a banana, a cheese biscuit and some sweets to eat. She asked if they could put them back after they had eaten them, and went on to say it was like the Bread of Life given by Jesus but which stays in us all the time. Some old choruses were sung, accompanied by Sarah on her guitar, and we even attempted some rounds! Edna Angove, Margaret Flinders and Tony Massey read from the Bible, on which Sarah based her sermon, and Betty Pascoe played the organ.

After the service, coffee was served downstairs. The evening praise and worship service was led by the Rev Danny Reed.

A very successful Craft Fayre was held in the Wesley Hall on Saturday. This was well attended and £472 was raised for church funds by two of our own stalls and refreshments, and donations from outside people who had booked stalls.
