Helston Photographic Club

Members joined forces with members of the Royal Photographic Society from Cornwall and Devon on June 24 for a trip on the Lizard Peninsular.

The weather cleared on the day enough for the keen photographers to explore Goonhilly Downs Nature Reserve with their cameras, getting down low to shoot wild flowers such as marsh orchids. The remains of RAF Dry Tree was also a target for interesting shots. The sun actually shone for lunch which was taken at Roskilly's Farm, along with a bit more photography of the fields, ponds and the very nosey calves.

The day ended in Coverack where the light was perfect for picture postcard shots of the fishing boats in the harbour and the pretty thatched cottages.
