BALWEST METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday Jeremy Boston, Dennis Oram, Molly Smith, Peter and Christine Cumber took part in a service specially written by Helen Garton and Sally Whitehead for One World Week entitled “Sharing Destiny – Moving toward One World.” Accompanist was Christine Cumber. Following the service the Traidcraft stall was available in the schoolroom.

CHURCH: Canon Michael Porteus was the celebrant at the service of holy communion on Thursday to celebrate the Feast of St Luke. Bevan Osborne read the epistle and Canon Michael read the gospel.

DOG SHOW: The show on Sunday, in aid of Cornwall Badger Rescue, held at The Coach and Horses, Kenneggy raised £256. The organisers wish to thank Barry and Emma, proprietors of the pub, and all who attended and helped to make it a great success.

QUIZ EVENING: Graham and Elaine would like to thank all who supported the quiz evening in the Lion and Lamb on Sunday. Ninety pounds was raised to be shared between St Julia’s Hospice and the Ashton Village Christmas Lights.
