This month’s meeting was chaired by vice president June Youl, who welcomed everyone and quickly went through the business of the meeting.

Future outings were discussed and arranged. We have been invited to attend this year’s parade and Remembrance Service on November 11 in the Methodist Chapel in St Keverne. The group meeting on November 13 is hosted by Gunwalloe and held at Garras, we will be leaving from St Keverne square at 6.30pm.

Teresa Munro gave a report on the Autumn Council Meeting mentioning the business of the day and several speakers including a particularly amusing one talking about the Antiques Roadshow.

June then introduced Roz Campbell a Physiotherapist who gave a very interesting talk on Health and Wellbeing, reminding us that in this day and age we need help to maintain our own health and gave plenty of guidance on how to do this under a heading of a Prescription for Health. Roz then did a short exercise routine that can be done sitting on chairs.

After all our exertions we had a very welcome cup of tea made by Anne and Eileen. The competition this month five letter words from daily exercise: 1, June Youl; 2, Rita Kelly; 3, Pam Kaley. Flower of the month: 1, Dorothy Kemp; 2, Rita Kelly/Jill Bosustow; 3, Zoe Kevern/Pam Kaley.
