BALWEST METHODIST CHURCH: The morning service on Sunday was conducted by Dennis Bassett of Helston. The congregation were pleased to welcome their friends from Maryport who were visiting the area. Accompanist was Christine Cumber.
The service was followed by a light lunch in the schoolroom, chef for the day was teenager Oliver Boston.
On Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, people are asked to gather at the Germoe Parish War Memorial on Tregonning Hill just before 11am for wreath laying and a short service of remembrance. The service will continue in the chapel for those unable to walk up to the memorial on the hill.
CHURCH: The celebrant at the service of holy communion on All Souls’ Day was the parish curate, the Rev Sharon Chalcraft. Readers were Malcolm Hersee and Bevan Osborne. The Rev Sharon read the Psalm and Gospel and also read the names of those to be remembered in our prayers. Sidesman was Malcolm Hersee.
There will be a service of evensong on Sunday at 4pm. Please note change of time for the winter months.
