The family service on Sunday was taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker. The sermon, based on the readings from Genesis and Luke, encouraged us to read the Bible with different eyes particularly in relation to the role of women.

God has entrusted so much to each of us equally to fulfil His purpose and without Sarah so much in the Old Testament just would not have happened. The lessons were read by Wendy Bailey and the Rev Heather Aston, who also took the intercessions, and the organ was played by Andrew Woods.

The service on Sunday at 9.30am will be a eucharist celebrated by the Rector.
