After a very successful few months on the contest circuit, including a win and best Euphonium soloist prize at Weston-Super-Mare in May, the busy summer season is well under way for St Keverne band.

On Friday they are holding a barbecue in St Keverne village square at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Gweek Silver Band will be playing along with the St Keverne Senior and Youth bands at the annual Band Sunday on August 4. The march through the village at 7pm will be followed by a concert and barbecue at St Keverne band room. The famous annual St Keverne Ox Roast this year takes place on Wednesday August 7. There will be free admission, raffles, rides, stalls, games and refreshments all day. The grand parade will start at 2.30pm followed by the official opening and auction of the first slices of Ox. Entertainment will be provided by the three St Keverne bands and also local group “Loose Change” who are making their first appearance at the event. This is a fun day out for all the family and is the main fund raiser for the band.

During August the band will be playing at Penryn Town Fayre, Budock Carnival and Roskilly’s.
