The church held a special service on Sunday for One World Week.

The service, which had been prepared by members of CAFOD, was led by Jeremy Boston. Readers were Jill Warden, who also played for the singing, Denis Oram and Neil Turner, who presided at the Traidcraft stall following the service in the schoolroom. Flowers were given and arranged by Margot Sawle.

On Monday the Churches Together around Tregonning Group hosted a soup lunch. A bring-and-buy staff and Traidcraft sales stall were also included. The proceeds of £111 were for Mary’s Meals, an organisation which helps with the provision of one meal a day for children at school in one of the poorer areas of the world, £10.70 will provide one meal a day for a whole year for one child. As a result of your support and generosity, ten children will be able to have one meal a day at school. Thank you.
