The service on Sunday evening was a candlelit Commemoration of the Departed. It was taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker and incorporated reading out the names of people to be remembered from across the benefice, and the lighting of candles in their memory.

The address reminded us that eventually there is light at the end of the tunnel of grief and that faith is a source of help and direction. We should continue to hold the departed in our minds and hold on to the hope that we will be reunited in the light. Lessons were read by Wendy Bailey and the Rev Heather Aston, who also took the prayers.

There will be a coffee morning in the Vyvyan Coach House (outside the church) on Saturday morning from 10.30am to noon. This will be the last this year so come and enjoy a chat over coffee or tea and homemade cakes.

The service on Remembrance Sunday will be a Eucharist at 9.30am celebrated by the Rev Len Jepp who will also lead the Act of Remembrance at Mawgan War Memorial at 10.50am.
