The monthly meeting took place on November 21. Our business for the evening started with the president telling us we had filled 47 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child which is a tremendous achievement.

Details of the Christmas party were discussed and the date and place was set for our post Christmas lunch. The evening was then handed over to speakers Clare Girling and Becky Duncan from the Helston Physiotherapy Practice. They gave an interesting insight into their work with their main aim being to keep people well, fit and healthy and they gave some practical advice on how to maintain our core stability. Members had lots of questions to put to the speakers.

We stopped for a welcome cup of tea served by Irene Kimbeley and Eileen Warbis. The results of our competitions this month - A limerick on how to keep fit: 1, Marcia Williams; 2, Pam Kaley; 3, Tricia Retallack. The Flower competition: 1, Zoe Kevern; 2, Dorothy Kemp; 3, Rita Kelly/Pat Honeywood.
