The very special family service for Advent Sunday was taken by the Rev Heather Aston. The service took the form of hymns, readings, reflections and prayers, provided by the churchwardens, Lindsay Hockley and Pauline Arnold, together with Wendy Bailey and the Rev Aston.
These explained Advent and emphasised Jesus as the Light of the World. Candles were lit during the service.
The service on Sunday at 9.30am will be a eucharist celebrated by the Rev Len Jepp.
On Saturday there will be a Christmas Bazaar at Mawgan Recreation Hall with games, stalls, raffle, and Father Christmas and a sheep trail for the children.
