Morning service on Sunday, the third in Advent, was taken by the Rev Heather Aston. After lighting the third Advent candle, for John the Baptist, the sermon focused on his life as the messenger, preaching baptism for all and preparing the way for Jesus. In Advent we wait for Jesus, the Saviour of the world. The lessons were read by Mary Wood and the Rev Aston.

The service on Sunday will be a traditional carol service at 11.15am taken by the Rev Aston. On Christmas Eve at 11.30pm, the service will be taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker, celebrating the first communion of Christmas. There will be no service Sunday, December 29 as the Benefice will join in holy communion at Manaccan Parish Church led by the Rector, the Rev Walker.

Best wishes to you all for a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
