Another special themed family service took place on Sunday, taken by the Rev Heather Aston. Interspersed with Bible readings and a psalm, the story of Noah’s Ark was acted out by adult members of the congregation with the children finding wooden animals from around the church and placing them in the colourful ark.
Alex Rand read the Christina Rossetti poem The Rainbow, which he dedicated to his friend Archie Rainbow who sadly died aged only six. Prayers were led by Wendy Bailey and the organ was played by Christine Robertson. The service on Sunday will be a Eucharist at 9.30am taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
