The eucharist on Sunday was celebrated by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker, assisted by the Curate, the Rev Heather Aston, who read the gospel and led intercessions.

The Rector’s sermon was based on the readings about God directing Moses to find water in the desert for the Israelites and Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well. The service on Sunday, Mothering Sunday, to which all are welcome, is an 11.15am eucharist, to be taken by the Rector, during which posies will be blessed and distributed to the congregation.

On Saturday there will be a Coffee Morning in the Vyvyan Coach House starting at 10.30am at which there will be home-made cakes and daffodils for sale for Mothering Sunday.
