BALWEST METHODIST CHURCH: Members of the church have recently appreciated two excellent services, the first one being on Mothering Sunday, conducted by Susan Bennetts. This past week the Minister, the Rev Beverly Turner, conducted an equally excellent Lenten service.
ASHTON CHURCH: To celebrate the feast of the Annunciation, there was a service of holy communion at 5pm. On the first Friday of April the 9.30am service of holy communion was presided over by Canon Michael Porteus. Bevan Osborne read the epistle, Canon Michael read the gospel. Malcolm Hersee was sidesman.
On Sunday evensong will be at 6pm.
VILLAGE MEETING: The annual meeting of the village committee will be held in Ashton Church on Thursday at 7pm - All are welcome.
