The eucharist service on Pentecost Sunday was celebrated by the Rev Sharon Chalcraft.
Her sermon, based on the gospel reading, reminded us that Jesus said “Peace be with you” when the disciples were in the midst of worry, disorder and confusion. Divine peace is not the absence of trouble but looking behind the obvious, letting go and receiving the Holy Spirit.
Lessons were read by Mary Wood and the Rev Heather Aston, who also led the intercessions.
The service on Sunday at 11.15am will be morning prayer taken by the Rev Heather Aston.
