BALWEST METHODIST CHURCH: Gina Varker of Crowlas presented a reader’s service on Sunday morning. Guest accompanist was Ken Jones of Camborne; flowers were given by Sharon Wolfe. A light lunch was served after the service.
ASHTON CHURCH: A service of reflection led by the parish priest, the Rev Dr Peter Johnson, was held on Sunday evening. Readers were Trina Beckett and Angela Johnson and accompanist was Len Olds On Friday the Saint James Society will join with the congregation for a service of holy communion at 10am to celebrate the feast of St James.
