The eucharist service at St Mawgan-in-Meneage parish church on Sunday was celebrated by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker, assisted by the Rev Heather Aston who was also the preacher.
In her sermon she drew attention to the readings, which featured penitence and forgiveness, and then emphasised God’s limitless willingness to forgive us if we are penitent. We need to forgive those who sin against us, which is not easy, or we will be trapped in a never ending spiral.
The lessons were read by Wendy Bailey and the Rector.
The service on Sunday will be morning prayer at 11.15am taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
