The eucharist service on Sunday was celebrated by the Rev Heather Aston, and the preacher was the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
In her sermon, referring to the parables in the lesson, she emphasised that appearances, clothes and symbols are not the most important things and that everybody is called and welcomed if they are willing to engage with God in their heart. It is inside every individual to become a child of God.
Lessons were read by Mary Wood and the Rev Aston.
The service next Sunday will be morning prayer at 11.15am taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
