ST CORENTYN CHURCH: Mrs G Baylis and Miss P Oates have been re-elected as churchwardens to serve for a further three years.

At the annual Parochial Church meeting held on April 23, Carol Tarling was re-elected as PCC Secretary, Sharon Forbes was re-elected as PCC Treasurer and Norma Bayliss and Carol Cook were re-elected as Representatives. Veronica Palmer was elected as Deanery Synod Representative.

The following were re-elected: Audrey Beare – Sacristan, Diana Martin – Assistant Sacristan, Rex Beare – Assistant to the Sacristan. Alan Bostock was elected as Assistant to the Sacristan. Sidespeople: Sally Markham, Pat Lawrance, Margaret Bostock, Father John Palmer, Dennis Casley, John Lawrance, Carol Cook. It is hoped that organist Rachel Cook will continue.

VILLAGE HALL: Cash prize bingo last week was fairly well attended, the next evening will be on Thursday, May 23. Come and join us the more attending the bigger the prizes. Bank Holiday barbeque on Sunday, May 26 is a night not to be missed. The Cornish Wurzells will be entertaining, licensed bar. Saturday, May 18 there will be a Grand Quiz Night organised by Jadine Hocking - raffle, licensed bar; teams of any size, £2 per person. METHODIST CHURCH: Pastor Bill Reed was the preacher on Sunday, his message Salvation for all who will call on the name of the Lord. Readings from John and Acts were read by Marian Jennings and Jose Trounson. The Breaking of the Bread was celebrated.

The offering was collected by Christopher Trounson and accompanist was Sybil Benney. Flowers were provided by Barbara Matthews.

On Sunday at 11am the family service will be led by the Rev Steve Swann.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: On Thursday at 7.15pm members will be discussing Resolutions. Also there will be a bring-and-buy stall. Look forward to seeing you all.
