METHODIST CHURCH: Esther Benney led the family service on Sunday morning. The offering was collected by Harriet and Lacey, accompanist was Sybil Benney and flowers were provided by Belinda Bell. On Sunday the appointed preacher is the Rev Steven Swann.

Harvest Festival service on Sunday, September 15 at 11am will be taken by the Rev Danny Reed and will be followed by a bring-and-share lunch. This year we are decorating the chapel on September 14 mainly with donations for the food bank, tin and non-perishable items please which can be left with Brenda or at the chapel.

VILLAGE HALL: The Village Hall Show is on Saturday, October 5 at 2.30pm. Schedules are now available from Jeanette Dodd on 01326 240045 or from the hall foyer. CHURCH BELLS PROJECT: There will be a Cornish evening on Friday, September 13 at 7.30pm. Music by Cornish group, An Gof Band, formerly War-an-Dour with story teller, Adrian Rodda - admission £5, to include pasty supper. ST CORENTIN’S CHURCH: On Sunday the Bishop Christopher, the new Bishop of St German’s visiting, conducted the service. The bells rang three dedicated peals: For the marriage of Hannah Jenkin and Alex Green; Engagement of Christina Jennings and Kye Smith; To welcome Bishop Christopher on his first visit to Cury.
